Tiny pellets, thriving plants.
Alpaca Pellets
Approximate NPK: 7.7-0.6-3.0
Our alpacas do the hard work for you by digesting high quality feed year round and converting it into nutrient rich beans that we process into a clean product to feed your soil. Packed full of micronutrients, the manure is mixed with wool to help bind the pellet which adds the benefits of wool to your soil as well.
Alpaca manure is a cold manure and can safely be applied directly to gardens right from the source, though the pelletization process allows the manure to breakdown more efficiently in your garden, potted plants, and houseplants - that’s right, we use it in our house plants as they love the nutritional boost and it does not produce an odor once in the soil.
Our manure is sourced 100% from our farm from animals who are routinely monitored by our veterinarian team, assessed for parasites daily, and eat a diet of untreated Alberta grown pasture grass and hay.
How to use alpaca pellets:
Alpaca pellets can be applied to gardens, containers, and houseplants.
Mix into soil
Mix approximately 1 part pellets to 20 parts soil.
New gardens/containers: mix into soil before planting
Established plants: mix into top 1” to 2” of soil
Mulch with Wool Pellets
For extra water retention and to protect the soil, top dress soil with wool pellets and water well. Leave 1” to 2” collar around stems. Pellets will expand with watering and knit together over time.
